Good idea. The prices there are approximately 30% less, the choice of components is enormous, and you can find the latest versions of any hardware on stock. Viziting places like the Savelovsky market (about 10 times bigger in size than the local "annual computer fair", and functioning 7/7) always brings nostalgic memories of Singapore, Malaysia and other Asian places, but is MUCH closer :)
As for customs - do not worry: as long as you do not carry wholesale quantities of equipment (like 10 video cards and 70 monitors :-)) noone has the right to bother you, really. This is your computer! And you have the right to move around the world with your computer handy! Even if it is not a laptop :-) You may want to transport it disassembled, though. So buy it, test it (you'd better - even if the warranty conditions are fully honored by most computer shops, it'll be a bitch to replace a processor or memory module when the service center is 2500 km away) then take it apart and wrap the parts in bubble-wrap :-) If you decide not to test it (or maybe you do not want to purchase a case, which is reasonable because it is the largest and heaviest part of any system unit, and also the cheapest) then at least take all of the components out of their boxes, unpack them, then put them back - so that noone could tell you that it's brand-new.
In any case - don't worry about the border. This is you personal stuff as well as a toothbrush and a pair of jeans, and you can do with your personal stuff whatever you want, including taking it around the world if such is your wish. As for taxes, you'll pay 20% VAT and a 5% sales tax at the time of purchase, and that's it. By the way, it is very useful to keep the proof of purchase, both for reasons of warranty and for the customs officers to chew on, when they have nothing else to do with their lives :-).

Good luck!

Sometime there is no problemm at the customs - but they can ask you about contents of your HDD inside this computer or even take it for the investigation for about one week
