Ленке - 10 тысяч? Это вы, верно, в какой-нибудь филиал американского университета подавали? Вообще считаю, что диплом по языкознанию как нельзя лучше подходит для базового образования. Магистерскую делать нужно в чем-нибудь практическом. Филологией же не прокормишься. Заявляю как заслуженный лингвист. :)

Математика, медицина, право - эти специальности требуют соответствующего базисного образования. Социальные и политические науки, бизнес и менеджмент, естественные науки этого не требуют, там главное, чтобы бакалавриат был. Посмотри эти линки, может, найдешь что-нибудь подходящее:
