ANTWERP - In Antwerp, 117 foreign nationals will face charges for attempting to gain residence permits using false papers. The majority are Asians who used forged letters from a Pakistani doctor who claimed that the holder had lived in Belgium for more than five years. In a similar case, 26 Moroccans were given a conditional six-month sentence and three others received a six-month jail sentence for attempting to prove their residency with forged rental contracts.
